MEETING TO SUSTAINABLY MANAGE WASTE HOLDS CONTROLLING WASTE IN CAMEROON.
Experts in the management of waste are meeting in Yaounde to seek sustainable ways of waste management in Cameroon.
Opening the session on 27th April 2016, the Minister of the Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable Development, Hele Pierre indicated that the meeting is platform to discuss changing waste into wealth.
During the forum, experts will assess the management of waste, identify eco-innovative ways of managing it and identify actors amongst others.
Industrialists and environmentalists at the meeting explain that recycling waste could serve in developing the economy and creating jobs for those involved in the recycling chain.
It is worth mentioning that about ten million tons of waste is produced in Cameroon yearly yet very little is done to convert it for industrial use.
